Shewmaker Electronics repairs and rebuilds GE ML-32 Static Regulator Controls. There are basically two versions: The older version has a brown 8″ x 11″ main control board in the back of the cabinet. The newer version has a green 8″ x 6″ main control board.
Controls received with the older brown board automatically receive a replacement RB-2 from Shewmaker Electronics, which is an improved circuit over the original GE green board.
Since GE supplied “green boards” an an OEM replacement part, many customers choose to field replace these. In this case, we can rebuild just the green board for you.
Many customers also choose to replace the front swing panel, and we can rebuild just this component if you wish.*
Some customers choose to remove the entire cabinet and send it in. Others will remove the control board and swing panel, in order to save shipping costs for the heavy cabinets.*
Which ever way you chose, we are please to work with you.
*REMOVING FRONT SWING PANELS ON AN IN-SERVICE REGULATOR IS NOT RECOMMENDED. IF YOU CHOOSE TO DO THIS, BE AWARE THAT 120VAC IS PRESENT ON SOME OF THE “NN” TERMINALS IN THE CABINET. IN ADDITION, A SHORTING JUMPER MUST BE PLACED ACROSS THE CT TERMINALS ON THE “NN” TERMINAL STRIP. REFER TO THE DOCUMENTATION THAT CAME WITH YOUR REGULATOR TO DETERMINE WHICH TERMINALS ARE FOR THE CT, AND WHICH TERMINALS CONTAIN A 120V SOURCE!!!
