Again this August 11-15 2019, we will be participating in the Great Lakes Electric Meter School’s Track 5 “Field Testing of Distribution Controls”. We cover regulators, reclosers and switched capacitor banks. Basically, how to test the installation, how to determine trouble (control, or apparatus?) and what to do about the trouble.
GLEMS meets at the Raddison in Kalamazoo Michigan, and attracts participatants from not only the states bordering the lakes, but from such areas as Kentucky, Oklahoma, Oregon, and even Grand Cayman!
In addition to classroom instruction, all learning tracks involve hands on learning. A vendor display hall is also open, where students can converse with vendor factory representatives.
