When Phil Shewmaker first began repairing controls for the electric power industry in 1983, he had one goal: He wanted to do more than simply “repair” a regulator or re-closer control.

From the beginning he used only military and industrially rated replacement parts, and used conformal coat to protect his work from the elements.

Over the last 27 years Shewmaker Electronics has grown into a thriving business that encompasses a 5,000 sq. foot facility, specialized employees, and electric utility customers in 46 states, Canada and Puerto Rico.

One thing has not changed though: We still use only military-rated, top quality parts. We still conformal coat all circuit boards for maximum reliability, and we offer a one year warranty on each control repair.
